THIRDFACE SHARE NEW SINGLE "SOUR"

Tennessee hardcore powerhouse, Thirdface, are releasing their sophomore album, Ministerial Cafeteria, this Friday November 1st via Exploding In Sound Records. Today they're sharing one more early single, the powerfully primal "Sour."

Thirdface blend mind-bending technicality with sheer ferocity into a one-of-a-kind take on hardcore that's as visceral as it is impressive. On Ministerial Cafeteria they dial their sound even further into the red, drawing on elements of punk, grindcore, and noise rock into one of the most inventive aggressive albums of the year.

Earlier singles "Midian" and "Meander" (which garnered attention from the likes of Pitchfork, Stereogum, BrooklynVegan, Treble, and more) captured the blisteringly fast side of Thirdface's sound, but "Sour" swings the pendulum towards a sinister stomp. The song stretches out to the three minute mark, highlighting the band's ability to draw on disquieting atmospherics and textures without losing an ounce of bite.
